to judge the world which He fashioned.

For with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him is plenteous redemption, / and He shall
redeem Israel out of all his iniquities.

The Angel proclaimed Thee, the crucified and buried Master, to the women, / saying,
Á-°Come, see where the Lord lay, / for He, as Almighty God, is risen as He said.Á-? /
Therefore Thee we worship, O Thou Who alone art immortal. / O Christ the Life-
Giver, have mercy upon us.

By Thy Cross Thou didst annul the curse of the Tree; / by Thy grave Thou didst slay

to Thee, O Christ our God and Benefactor, glory to Thee.

For He hath made His mercy to prevail over us, / and the truth of the Lord abideth

The gates of Death have opened unto Thee for fear, O Lord, / and the doorkeepers of
Hades quaked when they saw Thee. / For Thou hast shattered the gates of brass and
smitten the bars of iron asunder. / Thou hast led us out of darkness and the shadows of
death, / and broken our bonds.

Let us sing praises, as we sing with our lips the hymn of salvation. / Come, let us all
bow down in the house of the Lord and say: / Pardon our sins, O Thou Who wast
crucified on the Tree, / Who didst rise from the dead, / and Who art in the bosom of
the Father.

The dark shadow of the Law has passed away by the coming of Grace; / for as the
bush was in flames but did not burn, / so the Virgin did bear, and remained a Virgin; /
instead of a pillar of fire, a Sun of Righteousness has dawned in the East, / and
instead of Moses, Christ, the salvation of our souls.
