Divine Liturgy of St Basil- Prayers after Holy Communion - 115 -
Priest:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit: now and ever, and unto
ages of ages. Amen.
Troparion to St Basil, First Tone:
Reader:
Thy fame has gone forth into all the earth,/ which has received
thy word./ Thereby thou hast taught the Faith; thou hast revealed the
nature of created things;/ thou hast made a royal priesthood of the
ordered life of men./ Righteous Father Basil, intercede with Christ our
God/ that our souls may be saved.
Glory...
Kontakion, Fourth Tone:
Thou wast an unshaken foundation of the Church/ and didst give to all
mortals an inviolate lordship/ which thou didst seal with thy doctrine,/ O
righteous Basil, / revealer of the mysteries of heaven.
Both now...
O protection of Christians that cannot be put to shame, O Mediation unto
the Creator unfailing: Disdain not the suppliant voices of sinners; but be
thou quick, O good one, to help us who in faith cry unto Thee; hasten to
intercession and speed thou to make supplication, thou who dost ever
protect, O Theotokos, them that honor thee.
Lord, have mercy

More honorable than the Cherubim, and beyond compare more
glorious than the Seraphim, thee who without defilement gavest birth to

to Thee.
