again from the dead on the third day, and making a
way for all flesh through the resurrection from the
dead, (for it was not possible that the Author of Life
to be held by corruption), that He might be in
Himself the first fruits of those who hath fallen
asleep, the first born of the dead, that He mightest
be Himself truly the first in all things. And having
ascended into heaven, He sat down at the right
hand of Thy Majesty on high; and He shalt come
again to render unto every man according to his
works. And He, hath left with us as memorials of
His saving passion these things which we have
offered according to His commandments. For when
He was about to go forth to His voluntary and ever
memorable, and life creating death, in the night in
which He gave Himself for the life of the world,
taking bread into His holy and most pure hands,
showing it to Thee, God and Father, giving thanks,
blessing it, sanctifying it, breaking it,
And loudly he saith this:
