Things good and profitable for our souls and bodies,
and peace for the world, let us ask of the Lord.

That we may complete the remaining time of our life
in peace and repentance let us ask of the Lord.

Deacon:
A Christian ending to our life, painless, blameless,
peaceful; and a good defense before the dread Judgment
Seat of Christ, let us ask.
People: Grant this, O Lord.
Deacon:
Calling to remembrance our most holy, most pure,
most blessed, glorious Lady Theotokos and ever-virgin
Mary, with all the Saints, let us commit ourselves and each
other, and all our life unto Christ our God.
People: To thee, O Lord.
The deacon moves to stand before the icon of Christ while priest
finisheth the prayer of Proskomedia.
The Prayer of the Proskomedia
Priest: O Lord God Almighty, who alone art holy,
Who dost accept a sacrifice of praise from them
that call upon Thee with their whole heart: Accept
also the supplication of us sinners, and bring it to
Thy Holy Altar, and enable us to offer unto Thee
both gifts and spiritual sacrifices for our sins and for
the errors of the people, and vouchsafe us to find
grace before Thee, that our sacrifice may be
acceptable unto Thee, and that the good Spirit of
Thy grace may rest upon us, and upon these Gifts
