The Hymn to the Theotokos
People: It is truly meet to bless thee, the
Theotokos, ever blessed and most blameless,
and mother of our God. More honorable than
the Cherubim, and beyond compare more
glorious than the Seraphim, who without
corruption gavest birth to God the Word, the
Very Theotokos: thee do we magnify.

Priest:
For the holy Prophet, Forerunner, and
Baptist John; the holy and all-praised apostles; of
Saint
(s) N. (N.)
whose memory we also celebrate;
and for all Thy saints: through whose intercessions
do Thou visit us, O God; and remember all that
have departed in the hope of the resurrection unto
life everlasting, and grant them rest where the light
of Thy countenance shall visit them. Á+-
